Week one went very well, I received a great deal of feedback, all positive, however a number of skeptics did wonder what it was I had to sell. The answer is nothing! This skepticism is a sign as to how bad things have gotten in the profession. How could another chiropractor want to give something away to help his colleagues and students? Everyone wonders’ “where’s the catch?” THERE IS NONE!

My new website WWW.FreeDCHelp.COM is up and running. This site’s purpose is to provide a repository of materials that will be helpful to those in the profession. On this site will be posted archived articles as well as sample reports, letters and marketing materials — FREE. Once you get your leads, then what?
What MUST be included in the free report you send?
The free report you will send, how do you print it ?

| Before you place your ad there are a number of items that must be prepared by you in order to obtain the best result possible from the leads you receive.
1. By next week you should ALL have an 800#. NO EXCUSES-this is cheap, about $10.00 a month at www.ringcentral.com or through your local phone company. I use Ring Central. They have programs for $14 a month and if you do the whole year at once it’ $9.999 a month. They give you an 800 number and you record the message, (have a female do it, or for $50 they will have a professional do it, a nice touch but not necessary)

At the tone please leave your name and mailing address (don’t ask for phone it spooks them and 90% leave it anyway and if you are using Ring Central they automatically capture the number for you) Please speak slowly and clearly being sure to spell any unusual last names or street names. We will send your free report out immediately.

Their web site will show you everything and if you have a problem just call them and they will walk you through everything.. You can have an 800 number today….
2. You must have your report ready to be mailed ASAP, this means the day you receive the phone call inquiring about the report.
3. You MUST have a data base set up in Excel, with the prospects name, address and phone number if they gave that information, as well as the date as to when you mailed the report, this way you will know when to mail the second letter. In addition these people should be made part of your permanent mailing list, the one that has every patient that ever stepped foot in your office (A whole subject in and of itself, however I assume you are keeping one, if not start NOW)
4. The report must contain the following a compelling headline, a reason for the reader to say this is about of for me (what’s in it for me?) a call to action, such as a coupon with an EXPIRATION DATE.
The mnemonic for the basic function of all direct marketing, but especially for letters or reports such as this one, is AIDA.
Get Attention, Arouse Interest, Stimulate Desire, Prompt Action. And it ain’t over until the fat lady shows up in the office.
5. The majority of the report is already done for you.http://freedchelp.com/reports-to-send-to-your-leads REMEMBER IT HAS MY NAME ALL OVER IT, SO YOU MUST EDIT IT. The document is in WORD so it’s pretty easy to do. (e-mail me if you have any problems) You will still need to include a coupon for an offer of some kind. I suggest a free surface EMG or thermal scan if you have the equipment. Otherwise free X-ray (explaining that you will be looking for structural changes that the hospital or their medical doctor does not look for) Remember, the purpose of the report is two fold, to educate and to build trust. Once this trust is established, (this is done by the story in the report) it lets the reader feel that you have empathy for them. Now when that patient decides it’s time for a chiropractor or to try another specialist who do you think they are going to call? That is the sole function of the report. Think about the e-mail you received when you signed up for this newsletter. I was speaking directly to you, like Bill Clinton said“I feel your pain” and you responded to that.
6. Seven days after you have sent the report send a follow-up letter. This MUST have an offer with an expiration date. (available on the website)
7. Four days later you send the last chance letter (available on my website)

| PRINTING THE REPORT:
The printing of the report can be done at any instant printer. I use Kinko’s, fast, reliable and cheap. The report is printed on 11X17 paper two sided and stapled. THE COLOR OF THE PAPER MUST BE GOLDENROD. If they tell you they don’t have it, just ask them to get it, they usually have it in 1 day. Studies have shown that this particular color increases readership. Print at least 100 copies.
I guarantee that if you follow the directions, you will get calls, and there will be people who will want appointments and their free exam. A percentage of these people WILL become patients. Even if they don’t on that day, they will remember you, and as you communicate with them via your monthly newsletter, (which I hope you have) you will remain as a top of consciousness person, someone who they will think of first after the failed to get better from the physical therapist, epidural and orthopedist. A percentage of these people who decide not to use your services right away will decide at some point to try them.
If you continue to use display or image advertising you will end up like the majority of the chiropractors out there-you will have a very mediocre income or worse yet you will be on your way out of business.
I know that I have been focusing on auto accidents, however I will be posting material related to headache, neck pain, carpal tunnel syndrome as well as chiropractic care for general overall well being for you to use on my website in about 1 week. The same methods are used to promote these problems as you used with auto accidents.
As the weeks go on I will be posting a number of additional marketing materials on the web site, of course all for FREE. WWW.FREEDCHELP.COM
